Born in Plain Township, Stark County, Ohio. Son of Perlee Boli and Katherine Pontius, preceded in death by wife, Janice, and son Frederic Louis

"Frederic L Boli II, born in Plain Twp on February 17, 1922 to the late Per Lee Boli and Katherine (Pontius) Boli, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005.[It should say March 8, 2005, accord to Ohio Death Index]
Also preceded in death by a son, Frederick L Boli III; brother, Per Lee 'Bud' Boli; brothers-in-law Raymond Bender and Donald Griffen. Survived by his dedicated and loving wife of over 49 years, Janice M (Glick) Boli; sons Scott M Boli and his wife, Stephanie A (Bietzel) Boli, Stewart P Boli and his wife, Pamela (Simpson)) Boli; grandson Scott Y Boli II; and granddaugher, Emily E Boli, all of North Canton; two brothers and sister in law, Warren and Donna J (Kencel) Boli of Canton, Mark Boli of Chicago, IL; one sister, Katherine Griffin of Hickory, PA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Frederic L Boli graduated from Lehman High School and enlisted in the US Army Air Corps. During WWII, he flew with the 415th Night Fighter Squadron in Italy, France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He received the Purple Heart and numerous other medals and ribbons for his service.
Frederic followed his dream and opened in 1954 'Fred's Drive In' in Alliance, OH which he and his wife, Janice owned and operated until 1979. It was very popular with the young and old alike. Many a teenager started their 'work' careers there. He was also a successful General Contractor and also owned and operated Boli Apartments until his retirement.
Fred was a faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church of North Canton and proudly belonged to the American Legion, North Canton Elks, and national and local chapters of the Air Stream Club.
Other than his grandchildren, his passion was golf which he and Scott started to play in 1961. Fred was known to play golf 300 days a year and played on courses through out the US,Canada and two other continents.
The family would appreciate memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association."
