She was a resident of Edmonds, Wash., from 1947-1980. She married Donald Sycks in Dec. 29, 1940, in Reno, Nev. He preceded her in death in 1982.
Mrs. Sycks was an accomplished Artist. She donated paintings to auctions, entered her art into fair competitions, including the Pacific County Fair, and sold many paintings.
She was a past President for the Raymond Willapa Art League, and also a member of the Ferndale Rebecca Lodge.
Mrs. Sycks was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Baird; a sister, Iris Wood; and a grandson, Robert A Sycks.
She is survived by three sons, Robert and Carol Sycks of Lebam, Wash., Steven and Shannon Sycks of Fort Collins, Colo., and David and Jo Sycks of Medford, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at 1 p.m., at the Maple Hill Cemetery, in Lebam.
