Dona Amelia Cisneros Chapa, 93, our beloved mother, motherinlaw, grandmother, and greatgrandmother entered into the glory of her eternal life on Saturday, December 25, 2010, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Matamoros, Dona Amelia had been a resident of Brownsville for numerous years. She will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.

Dona Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, Ismael Chapa and Carolina Cisneros her husband, Aurelio Cisneros and a son, Rafael Cisneros.

Left to eternally treasure her memory are her children: Ernesto Petra Cisneros, Oscar Mara Cisneros, Augusto Oralia Cisneros, Guadalupe Lupita Juan Sanchez, Irma Carlos Martinez, Aurora Everardo Perez, and Angelica Ernesto Martinez numerous grandchildren nephews, nieces and several greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2010 in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home.

The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church on U.S. Military Hwy. 281. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Ernesto Cisneros, Augusto Cisneros, Oscar Cisneros, Juan Sanchez Jr., Adrian Perez, and Jose Luis Gonzalez are honored to be serving as Dona Amelias pallbearers.
