Jake W. Deason - age 90 of Lenoir City, TN, formerly of Centreville, AL, passed away Saturday morning, June 17, 2017. Jake was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy. Jake retired after a career in the floor covering industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Durana Nelson Deason and eight siblings. Jake is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Kaley Deason; children and their spouses: Howard and Lorna Deason of Cincinnati, OH Sheila and Dr. Charlie Barnett of Knoxville, TN, Tina and Phil Joseph of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren: Jeremy, Joanna, Kaley, Robert and Nicholas; great-grandchildren: Jake, Cara, Abby, Braxton, Andrew, Lucy, and Finn; sister: Pinana Kane of Centreville, AL, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, June 22nd at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Family and friends will proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for 3:30 p.m. graveside services with Dr. Dick DeMerchant officiating. Full military honors will be conferred by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Lenoir City Building Fund or a charity of your choice .Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
