First Janitor of Iowa Co. Courthouse Dies; Emil Zuber Called.

Marengo, Ia. - March 21 -- Michael Justeson, 90, died in the home of his grandaughter, Mrs. Fred Vincent, at 2 a.m. Monday. Mr. Justeson was born in Denmark, Oct. 25, 1848, and came to America when he was 22 years old. He turned the first shovel of dirt for the foundation of the Iowa county courthouse in 1892, and was the first janitor serving four years. His wife, formerly Jane Leonard, Des Noines, died 26 years ago.
He is survived by a foster-daughter, Mrs. Nellie McKay; three grandaughters, Mrs. Fred Vincent, with whome he made his home, and Mrs. Otis Cranfill, Marengo, and Mrs. Andrew Vincent, Oden, Ark., and 10 great-grandchildren.
