Reported age at time of death was 2 years, so evidently born about 1864.

Mary Jane Galer's list of persons interred in the New Cemetery area of Linwood shows: Terrell Lee CRAWFORD [died] 14 SEP 1866; buried in Section 2, Lot 1008 - remarks: information copied from grave marker; son of Bennett H. & Mary L. CRAWFORD.

Buster Wright's "Burials and Deaths Reported in the Columbus (Georgia) Enquirer [Newspaper], 1832-1872" (1984), p. 104, shows: a child of CRAWFORD died was buried 16 SEP 1866 (from Sexton's quarterly report published 20 JUL 1866). Entry in the newspaper reports this was a child of Mr. CRAWFORD that died in the country (no age or cause of death reported; it is presumed that "in the country" here means in rural Muscogee County, although it possibly could extend to a rural part of a neighboring Georgia county). The sexton at that time was Robert Thomas SIMONS.

In Mary Jane Galer's "COLUMBUS, GA: Lists of People, 1828-1852, and Sexton's Reports to 1866" (published in 2000), her transcription of quarterly sexton reports, gleaned from the Columbus city council minutes, ends with JUN 1866. The first known sexton's ledger in which burials are recorded, usually including the location of the grave within the cemetery, does not commence until 01 OCT 1866, so the sexton report published in the newspaper for the 3rd quarter of 1866 (or Buster Wright's extracts compiled from them in 1994) is the only source I presently know of for burials in the municipal cemeteries during that interim.
