Death certificate shows him to be the son of H. C. & Betsey (JENKINS) CRAWFORD - however, this appears to be in error. He is evidently son of Bennett H. & Mary (LOWE) CRAWFORD; Andrew's sister Ella married a JENKINS. Married Rosa PERRY. Informant for his death certificate was Mrs. Ella CRAWFORD JENKINS of Columbus, Georgia.

Appears as Andrew L., aged 4 years and born in Georgia, in the 1870 census household of Bennett H. & Mary L. CRAWFORD in Ward 2 of Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia. Besides siblings Ellen CRAWFORD (11), Bernetta CRAWFORD (8), and Mary (1), also present are Ben C.
