Caroline married George M. Flanders, an attorney of Plainfield NH and resided in Manchester NH where her children were born. Her first child bearing the same name died of cholera at 7 mos of age. The family moved to Brooklyn New York where they remained until shortly after the death of George in 1895. After settling her husband's estate, Caroline lived with her daughter Mary (Wells) in New York City.
Around 1903 Caroline and her daughter Gracie moved to Caroline's ancestral home in Wentworth NH residing with her nephew Walter Whipple until her death in 1910.
Caroline died at age 90 and 6 mos in Wentworth and is buried with her husband in Valley Cem in Manchester, NH.
