Prentiss Franklin, 60, of Eupora died Feb. 20, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Mr. Franklin, a self-employed businessman, was born May 26, 1946, in Winston County.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Pittman Franklin of Eupora; four sons, Frederick Charles Franklin of Ocean Springs, Samuel Wesley Franklin of Pascagoula, Donald Cecil Skipper of Metairie, La., and Roy Brian "Bo" Skipper of Laurel; four daughters, Lynn Franklin of Grand Bay, Ala., Rosa Marie Franklin of Moss Point, and Jackie Skipper and Becky Raquel Franklin of Pascagoula; three brothers, Allen Franklin of Grand Bay, Billy Dean Franklin of Moss Point and Joe Wayne Franklin of Ocean Springs; two sisters, Iva Jean Ferrell of Tallahasee, Fla., and Margaret Ann Wilson of Gautier; his mother, Lucille Lucas Franklin of Pascagoula; and 13 grandchildren, Emily Breanna Smith, Brittany Franklin, Michaela Franklin, Kell Whitfield Franklin, Will Holloway, Steven Holloway, Danielle Holloway, Charles Franklin, Kayla Skipper, Kelee Skipper, Travis Skipper, Thomas Payton Skipper and Timothy Barnes jr.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Franklin.

Services were Feb. 23 at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman with burial in Salem Independent Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Tommy Kendrick officiated.
