Adelaide (Visconti) Herbert, 70, of Wethersfield, wife of Kenneth Herbert, died Tuesday, (February 27, 2007) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. She was born in Hartford, the youngest daughter of the late Paul and Lucy (Morello) Visconti, and was predeceased by her brother, Paul, Jr., in 1975. Besides her husband, she is survived by her sister Delores Visconti of Long Beach, CA; her sister-in-law Alice Visconti and her three daughters and son, all of Cromwell; her sister-in-law MaryAnn Savidge of OH, and her dear friend of 50 years, Mary Lou (Blesso) Grossbard of Dayville. Adelaide was a graduate of the Southwest Grammar School in Hartford, where she was awarded the Outstanding Athlete of the year in 1950. She was also an alumna of Mount Saint Joseph Academy in West Hartford, and Saint Francis Hospital School of Nursing, Hartford, class of 1957. She earned her Bachelor Degree of Science in Nursing from Central Connecticut State College in New Britain in 1966. Adelaide loved opera, bridge and reading British novels. Those who knew her best will always remember her intelligence, quick wit, mimicry, and wonderful sense of humor. Adelaide's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Teiger of St. Francis Hospital for his care.
