David Fala

David C. Fala, age 59, ended his courageous battle with cancer on February 21, 2007. His last days were spent with his family members at the Kobacker House where he received excellent care from so many compassionate caregivers. David was born on July 15, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. David enjoyed working at Lee's Catering for Steve and Nola Yoder and their family. He shared a passion for golf with his long time friend, Steve Marsh. David will be forever missed by his loving family; his wife of 40 years Sharon, his daughter Tara Fala, his son Tony (Betsy) Fala, his son Troy Fala (Dorothy O'Connor); his grandchildren Carissa, Nick, Katie and little Troy, his parents Carlo and Rita Fala, his father-in-law Hershel Hayes Sr., his brothers Larry Fala and Steve (Amy) Fala, his sisters Marlene (Terry) Riley and Tina (Rick) Walls, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, where funeral service will be held 10:30 am Saturday. David will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made to the Kobacker House, 3724 Olentangy River Rd., Suite G, Columbus, OH 43214.
