Born in Washington, D.C., one of ten children of the late Carlton and Verdie Kidwell.Survived by her sister, Mary (Rudy) Marrazzo; and her sister-in-law Patricia O'Brien Kidwell. She joins her departed brothers and sisters, Carlton, Alvin, Cyril, Constance, Lemuel, Adrian, Joseph and Francis. Helen leaves six children, John J. Kane, Jr., Mark T. Kane, Anne Marie Zagrobeiny, James F. Kane, Helen Marie Lawkowski and Thomas Carlton Kane; her sons and daughters spouses; a cherished part of her family, her 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Washington, D.C. and attended St. Joseph's College in Emmittsburg, PA. Helen resided in Falls Church, Virginia for over 50 yeard and was founding parishioner at Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Vienna, Virginia.
She married her late husband John Joseph Kane in 1949. Internment in Fairfax Memorial Park.
