His wife of 48 years, Janice Christoffel Jump, feels deeply the loss of her beloved spouse. She is grateful to God for the time they had together meeting the challenges of life as a team. Their children are Roger, Noel, Robert M. (Sandra), Ric, Betsy (Jesus) Flores, June (Ryan) Whitley, Sandy, Norma, Joy (Mike) Williams, Milagro (Adam) Ebert. He has 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Bob worked and retired from JC Penney. After he worked for the Press Gazette in Champaign, IL. An entrepreneurial dream led him to Oshkosh to create a national self-help directory. A year later he went to work for ADVOCAP as a job coach and business development advisor.

Bob was creative and enjoyed building, sewing, writing, and computers. He received the JC Penney Fred Lazarus Award for Community Service, the Wisconsin Favorite Family Award in 1983, the Distinguished Merit Award from the National Council of Christians and Jews. He also got 2 private bills passed in Congress with the help of hundreds of caring people. Bob made 2 brave trips to El Salvador to bring back children to be part of their family. He helped his wife get through cancer treatments when she was 29. He took great care of his mother-in-law Beatrice Christoffel of Two Rivers. He called her everyday and wrote her many letters and fixed up her home. Bob and father-in-law, Clarence Christoffel, converted an old grocery store into apartments which Bob sold to buy a 3 story home in Manitowoc which he remodeled to suit his family of 13.

We are grateful to all our friends and relatives who have been praying for us, especially the Bee Thao family. We would like to give a special thank you to Mike and Joy Williams who sold their beautiful home in Eagle, CO and moved to Oshkosh to help take care of us. And thank you to all of the children who visited home to help.

We are also grateful to God to live in the US and to have good medical care. The Affinity Hospice team was especially helpful to the family.
