June Metz, age 94, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Azura Memory Care in Manitowoc.

June was born on April 23, 1923 in Kossuth to the late James and Elsie Knuell Karbon. She had graduated from Lincoln High School. On July 9, 1946, June married Gilbert Metz. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2010. June had worked at Mirro Aluminum for many years as a secretary from where she retired.

June is survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elsie Karbon; husband, Gilbert; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine (Herbert) Sprang and Arlene (Florian) Barbarossa.

Private family memorial services will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home at a later date. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
