Funeral arrangements for Jimmy Propst, 71, of Portsmouth, Va., formerly of Cadiz, were held Saturday, June 17, 2016 at King's Funeral Home, with The Reverend Kyle Noffsinger officiating. Burial followed in Trigg Memory Acres. King's Funeral Home of Cadiz was in charge of the arrangements.
Jimmy Propst passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va.
He was born May 25, 1946 in Trigg County to Alice G. McCloud Propst and the late Mahlon Propst.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Propst.
Jimmy was a retired nuclear engineer from Newport News Ship Builders; a United States Navy veteran and he was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Propst, of Cadiz.
