On Monday, March 14, 2011 after a short battle with cancer our Heavenly Father called our beloved Lazaro to his eternal home. He was born in Taylor, TX on January 17, 1952. He was a military veteran and was an avid marathon runner who you would frequently see on the hike and bike trails at Lady Bird Lake. His love for animals surpassed his love for life.
Lazaro was preceded in death by his father, Lazaro Correa Sr.
He is survived by his life partner, Eddi Valles who was with him at his final breath, Step Mother, Celia Correa of Taylor, Sisters, Anita Chapa (Charles Morris) of Memphis, TN, Sophia Wheaton (Glen) of Lynchburg, VA. Brothers, Jesse Correa (Dolores) of Austin, Frank Correa (David Reynolds) of Round Rock and a host of nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the numerous caregivers at the Hospice wing of the VA Hospital in Temple. Their 24/7 care and support brought comfort to him and his family during his final Journey.
A private graveside service officiated by Father David Leibham of St. Albert The Great Catholic Church was held in his honor.
