Wilma Wiley Cessna Peoples, 88, was born on February 14, 1929 in Marquez, Texas to the late Jim G. Cessna and Ada Stevens Cessna. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, Texas. She passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 in Spring, Texas at the Unlimited Care Cottages.

Wilma married the love of her life, Harol H. Peoples, June 4, 1949, in Houston, Texas. They served faithfully together as charter members of Uvalde Baptist Church where she gave her life to Jesus in 1952.

She is survived by her son, Don Peoples & his wife Susan and daughter, Susan Newman & her husband Elliott. She was blessed wtih 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Mitchell & Micah Peoples, Angie Savage, Daniel Savage & wife Amy, Helen Outlaw & husband Haden and Luke Newman & wife Jessica. Plus 4 great grandchildren, Wyatt, Thatcher & Hadley Anne Savage and Everett Outlaw.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Visitation will be from 9am - 10am followed by a celebration of her life at 10am in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home with burial to follow in the San Jacinto Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank all the family and friends who have been such wonderful prayer warriors and great support during this time. A speical heart felt thank you to the Caretakers and facilitators of the Unlimited Care Cottages, #1 on Budde Rd and to A-Med Hospice for their love and care for Mom during her last days.
