Son of Peter & Catherine (Shoemaker) Cleaver. They married in 1695.

Peter & Elizabeth (Potts) Cleaver, Jr were married on 8mo/Oct 4, 1722 at a public meeting held in Germantown (also now defunct and absorbed as a neighborhood of the City of Philadelphia). They had 7 children, the births of all are recorded at Abington Monthly Meeting where they were members.
