Born in Ajo, Arizona, he was the son of Lenard and Doylee (Williamson) Bryant. He graduated from Steveson High School in Alabama in the Class of 1966. He served during the Vietnam Conflict in the United States Army. He received numerous commendations including the Combat Infantry Badge. He met and married Janet Marie Wood on Dec. 18, 1998. He was preceded in death by his father, Lenard Bryant and a sister, Martha Walters.
