Martha Emaline Dailey Harris- Obituary

Death came to Mrs. G.D. Harris, Wednesday morning, at her home five miles south of Unger. Her Death came as a shock to her family and host of many friends, as she had been ill a very short time.

Mrs. Harris was 67 years of age and had lived southeast of Boswell since 1918. She was born at Celina, Clay Co., Tennessee, on August 6, 1870.

She obeyed the Gospel early in life and became a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She was always in Services until bad health finally kept her from going. She was a good Christian, a good wife and mother and will be sadley missed by her family and friends.

She was married to G.D. Harris, February 17, 1887. To this union eleven children were born six of whom survive as follows: Will, Joe, Alva and Leslie Harris, Mrs. Minnie Maxwell and Mrs. Ola Edge. She also leaves her faithful companion to mourn her passing. Besides her immediate family, she is survived by twenty grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three brothers, Newt, Tom and George Dailey of Tennessee and one sister in California.

The funeral services were were held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the Church of Christ in Boswell, with Reverend A. J. Binkley conducting the services. Internment was made in the Boswell cemetery with Pitts Funeral Home in charge.

The pallbears were J.F. Bornmann, N.G. Moore, Ed Lee, Ed Lane, Herbert Cahill and Boots Bornmann.

Out of town relatives present at the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Harris of Dillard, Mrs. Add Carroll, Will Burton and Jack Flynn of Seminole, Benton Burton, Ed and Siva Harris of Maud, Mrs. Jewell Heard and Cleo Payne of Ada, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Vankirk and their daughter, Essie of Bonham, Texas.
