Susan Jane "Susie" Harris-Payne
was born to George Dallas and Martha Emmaline Daily-Harris, on March 14, 1897,in Hilham, Overton Co., Tennessee.
She moved with her Parents and other siblings to the, Oklahoma Territory, in 1902, before Oklahoma became a state.
They settled in Yeager, Hughes County, Oklahoma.
She Married , J.H.Payne, in Pottawatomie, Oklahoma, on November 4, 1910, at the age of 19 years.
In this Union of marriage, they had 5 children, which 2 lived to adulthood.
They lived in Sasakawa, Oklahoma, when she gave birth to their last child that was born in February 1919 and only lived for a short time, "Susan Herself", had not recovered from the child birth.
When she found out that her little baby had not survived, she did not want to live either and that she wanted to be buried with her beautiful baby, then she passed away on March 15, 1919. I'm assuming that the baby was born the last of February of 1919, and lived until, Susan had passed away.
This is my summary of what I have been told about the end of her life, in 1919.
Her place of burial is at "Fairview Cemetery", Yeager, Hughes County, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her Husband and two children of the home, her parents, siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles at that time.
