Geraldine D. Bessert, age 92, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life late Friday evening at Whitetail Estates in Manitowoc.
Geraldine was born on November 22, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Ervin and Rena Bartilli Wolfert. In 1941 she was married to John Hlinak who has preceded her in death. She later married George Bessert on April 19, 1952. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2010. Geraldine was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: David and Ellen Hlinak, North Carolina; five grandchildren: Mark Hlinak, Elgin, IL; Brenda (Chad) LeGreve, Green Bay; Diane Rice, Green Bay; Tammy Hlinak and Steven Hlinak both of North Carolina; seven great grandchildren along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ervin and Rena Wolfert; first husband: John Hlinak; second husband: George Bessert; and her son: Thomas Hlinak.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Kujawski. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum.
