Arthur Bradley was born in Castlecomer, County Kilkenny, Ireland to James Bradley
and Anne Phillips. He came to Canada as a young child and as a young man settled in
Merritton. He first married Margaret Raynard 27 August 1844 in St George Anglican
church in St Catharines and had 3 daughters, Anne, Julia and Mary. When his first wife
died in 1851 he then moved up to Simcoe County where he married his second wife
Margaret Baskerville 25 September 1856 in St Marks Anglican Church and together
they had 9 Children, Margaret Ann, Elizabeth Jane, William James, Susan, Ellen Matilda,
Frances Amelia, Arthur Richard, Samuel and Catherine Jemima Maud. After Spending
about 20 years in Simcoe County he moved back to Merritton where he died 31 December
1897 and was buried in Victoria Lawn.
