FLETCHER, Beatrice "Bea" Cross - Beatrice "Bea" Cross Fletcher, 94, of Avon, widow of the late Roland S. Fletcher died on Saturday, (March 3, 2007) at home with her family. She was born January 13, 1913 in Bristol, daughter of the late Claude and Lena (d'Anchelle) Cross. Educated in the Bristol schools, Bea moved to Farmington in 1932 where she resided for 35 years. She was a resident of Avon for 35 years. She was a member of the First Church of Farmington and a member of the Women's Association, a member of the Farmington Valley Association of Retarded Citizens and a member of Favarh. Bea was a former member of the Garden Club of Avon and the Canton Museum. Bea was an Avon Senior Citizen for many years as well. She worked at Miss Porter's School in the Theatrical Department for many years. She is survived by her son, Stephen M. Fletcher of Southbury, a daughter, Susan F. Floridio of Avon and her granddaughter Elizabeth Floridio of Milford. She was the great grandmother to Dylan and Nicole Bartel of Milford. Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, at 11 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery in Farmington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bea's name to Southbury Training School, 5 Yankee Dr., Southbury, CT 06488, c/o Dora Polomba. Funeral arrangements are being handled by The Ahern Funeral Homes Inc.
