The deceased was born in Germany on Feb. 28, 1851. She was married in Germany in 1873. For the past twenty-six years she had been a resident of Freeport. She was a member of the Christian Lutheran Church in Indianapolis.
Surviving are the husband, Herman Balting, one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Sumners of Indianapolis, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister in Kansas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the M. P. Church in Freeport with Rev. Sample, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be made in Hanover cemetery in charge of L. V. Hauk, undertaker.
