After high school graduation, Brenda joined the Air Force and was one of the first female airplane mechanics who was promoted to crew chief on jet airplanes. She served in England, New York, California and Texas. After retirement, she worked for Eagle Airlines.
Brenda will be remembered for her kind, thoughtful, loving heart. She was known for always helping friends and family. Loved ones cherish her homemade cards, handmade jewelry and crocheted blankets.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Parmeter; son-in-law, Chad Parmeter; grandchildren, Caden, Makayla, Dustin; siblings, Glenda Busick, Jean Yankovich, Bobbie Cameron, Frankie Meyer; and sister-in-law, Huelene Carlin.
Military services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene with Father Fred officiating.
Girdner Funeral Home of Abilene was in charge of arrangements.
