Jackie Mae Cook, 87, of Villa Rica died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008.
Mrs. Cook was born March 21, 1921, in Carroll County, the daughter of the late Jack Kilgore and the late Frances Nolan. She worked for and retired from the Villa Rica Knitters as a packer. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon F. Cook, and her son, James Cook.
Survivors include her daughter, Edna House of Villa Rica; her sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Johnnie Cook of Rockmart and Wayne and Doris Cook of Dawson Springs, Ky.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Neal and Doris Kilgore of Anniston, Ala., and Robert and Lucille Kilgore of Sax, Ala.; sister-in-law and her husband, Lois and David Gentry of Carrollton; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor Dwayne Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery in Buchanan.
