Verna Reid Guesnon, 88 years young, departed this life September 5, 2017.

She is survived by two daughters, Ingrid Bageon and Kathy Guard, one son, Robert R. Guesnon, Sr.(Cynthia), six granddaughters Dana Bageon, Kellye Bageon, Elaine and Lori Guesnon, Nicole Williams and Shayla Taylor, three grandsons, Robert R. Guesnon, Jr., and Glenn and Ronald Bozant and two great grandchildren Christian and Beyla Martin.

Verna was a Retired Attorney of City of New Orleans and private practice; a retired School Teacher in the states of Louisiana and Alabama, a member of AKA sorority and a graduate of Southern University and Alabama State University.

Relatives and friends of the family, also Priest and Parishioners of Corpus Christi and St. Maria Goretti Catholic Churches of New Orleans and St. Margaret Mary and St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Churches of Slidell; employees and staff of Slidell Memorial Hospital, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and St. Tammany Hospital are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. at Corpus Christi/Epiphany Church, 2022 St. Bernard Ave. on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Interment: St. Louis Cemetery No. 3. Arrangements by D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home.
