Lexington, May 9 - Mr. Anderson J. Shealy, a highly respected citizen of Lexington county and a gallant Confederate soldier in the '60's, died at his home in Boiling Springs township yesterday afternoon at the extreme age of 84 years. The funeral and burial will be at Nazareth Lutheran church tomorrow. His widow, Mrs. Celie, and the following children survive him: Mrs. David Price, Mrs. S. F. Long, Mrs. L. L. Long and James L. George A., Andrew, R. S., Emil and Noah Shealy. Mr. Shealy was born in Newberry county, but removed here when a boy and made a success in life. He was an active member of the Lutheran church and an officer therein for many years. © The State, Columbia, SC, 10 May 1907
