Luther T. Daywalt, 50, of South Mountain, died at 12:45 a.m. Friday shortly after being admitted to the Waynesboro Hospital. His death was attributed to a heart attack.
Daywalt was born in South Mountain July 18, 1927, a son of Harvey and Margaret (Kauffman) Daywalt, Fayetteville R.D. 2. All his life was lived at South Mountain. he and Mrs. Daywalt were married in August, 1948.
As a young man, he was employed at the Samuel Dixon Hospital. Daywalt later worked at the Dymond Lumber Co., Fayetteville, and four the past four months was employed by C. H. Musselman Co. in Biglerville.
He was a member of the South Mountain Bible Church.
In addition to his wife, Mrs. Kathryn (Ditch) Daywalt, and his parents, he is survived by these children: Luther N. Daywalt and Paul E. Daywalt, both of South Mountain; Mrs. Harry Naugle and Robert L. Daywalt, both of Fayetteville R.D. 2; Mrs. Lester Young, Jr., Waynesboro R.D. 6; and Sandy L. Daywalt and Joseph Daywalt, both at home. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Betty Shepard, Fayetteville R.D. 2, and Dale Daywalt, South Mountain.

The funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Argyl Dick. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
