Lucille "Lucy" Batman, of Waynesboro passed away, Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the age of 74.
She was born September 11, 1932 in Augusta County. She was the daughter of the late Traff and Ethel Morris Rankin. Her brothers, Leon Rankin, Glen Rankin and his wife, Gernie, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Batman was retired from General Electric/Genicom. She loved her family, cooking and enjoyed the outdoors. She is survived by her husband, Walter Batman and three children Barbara Ann Fitzgerald and her husband, David, Ted Coakley and his wife, Pam, and Bobby Duke, grandchildren, Travis Fitzgerald, Tressee Koloski, Robert "LB" Duke, Alyssa Duke and Michelle Coakley, two step-grandchildren, Mike Taylor and Mike Jacobs, great grandchildren, Cody Koloski, Cayla, Devon Fitzgerald and Casey Duke, Sisters, Madlene Morris, Peggy Morris, Barbara Jean Thomas, brothers, Homer Rankin and his wife, Emma Belle, sister-in-law, Beatrice Rankin, a number of loving nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted 2PM Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Ernie Rankin, Mark Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Larry Fox, Mike Taylor, William Fields, Charles Fields and Jimmy Fields.
