Heart trouble is given as the cause of her death, but she was feeling ill Tuesday.

Notes:
In her death notices and obituaries, her birth year is given both as 1869 and 1870. She was the daughter of Newton Tarrant and Sarah Jane (Kirk) Tarrant Winn. However, her obituary gives her age as 44, so that is what is entered here.

Almeda was the wife of George W Butcher. They married November 25, 1887, in Eureka, Greenwood County, Kansas, USA.

She had 5 children at the time of her death, all living in El Dorado:
Mrs. Olive (Butcher) Hitchcock [married Grant Hickcock]

Elouise Butcher [married John Calvin Kraeer Sr., then Charles David Wolfe]
Joseph Butcher
Clarence Butcher

Her obituary also listed sisters:
Mrs. John Webb of Chanute, Kansas.
Mrs. William Johnson, of Buffalo, Kansas. (Sister of G W Butcher?)

Note on death of husband, George W Butcher: an article in the Daily Arkansas Gazette, 19 Sep 1920, Sunday, Page 42, reported the death of George, who was found in a field in Tulsa, Oklahoma, (death having occurred on September 16, 1920), no signs of violence. Relatives in El Dorado noted that he had left home, unannounced, the previous Saturday. ~~mjp~~
