Blanche Turner, age 95, of Hopkinsville, KY passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Bainbridge Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Ryan Scott officiating with burial to follow in Bainbridge Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 17, 2017, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Bainbridge Grove Baptist Church. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Turner was born in Trigg Co., KY, on January 22, 1922; the daughter of the late William Averitt and Mary Virginia Wilson Sumner. She was a homemaker and member of Bainbridge Grove Baptist Church for over 73 years. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Grandison Turner in 2008; four brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Scarborough and her husband, Robert of Hopkinsville; her brother, Luther “Tom” Sumner of Cadiz; her sister, Ruby Tinsley of Cadiz; her granddaughter, Marie Hughes and her husband, David of Hopkinsville, and her great grandchildren, Read and Peyton Hughes.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Bainbridge Grove Baptist Church at 12633 Princeton Road Cerulean, KY 42215.
