Norma Jean Siemer

Norma Jean Siemer went home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2017. Norma, a resident of Pennybyrn at Maryfield was born in 1929 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Homer and Katherine Garner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul and Sam Garner and sisters, Evelyn Garner Boaz and Doris Garner Boaz.
Norma is survived by her sister, Lorraine Zdvorak of St. Louis; MO; her son, Lynn B. Siemer and his wife Kris of Taylorsville; her daughter, Pam S. Whitney and her husband Pete of Greensboro; four grandsons, Lynn Siemer, Jr. of Hickory, Todd Siemer and his wife Mandy of Hickory, Brad Whitney of Greensboro, Ben Whitney and his wife Ashley of Annapolis, MD and 10 great grandchildren, Kyler, Coty, Corey and Camryn Siemer, Grayson, Tre, Cooper, Riley and Ethan Whitney and Declan Riddle.
Norma followed Jesus all her life and though she will be so missed, her family is comforted knowing she is in heaven.
A Service to Celebrate Norma's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Ilderton Hall at Pennybyrn at Maryfield Community Center, 109 Penny Road, High Point, NC 27260 conducted by the Reverend John Willett. The family will receive friends on Saturday in Ilderton Hall from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
Norma will be interred with private family services at Guilford Memorial Park beside of her late husband of 66 years, Bernard Louis Siemer, Jr. who preceded her in death on July 7, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Norma's memory to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC 27262
