Vera was born in Sanger, California and passed away at the Nazareth House where she had been a resident for the last several years.
Vera graduated from Sanger High School in 1934.
She worked at several jewelry stores in Fresno until she opened the Jewel Box in Chowchilla.
She and her husband Tom became interested in the restaurant business and opened Farnesis Restaurant in Madera. After a short retirement, they purchased the Fruit Basket in Madera and again retired from this business.
Vera was preceded in death by her father, Corado Farnesi of Sanger; her mother, Silvia Farnesi; her husband Tom; her brother Pete of Chowchilla; and a brother Guido of Sanger, California who passed away at an early age.
Surviving Vera are extended members of her family. Visitation will be at Jay Chapel on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
A Cryptside Service will be held at Arbor Vitae Cemetery Mausoleum in Madera, on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at 2:00 p.m.
