GLASGOW – Rufus Anderson, 86, died Thursday in a Glasgow nursing home of natural causes.
His funeral is 10 a.m. Monday at Bell Mortuary Chapel, with burial in Highland Cemetery.
Anderson was born Oct 8, 1910, in Minot, N.D. His family homesteaded at Nashua.
He married Martha Weinmeister on Feb. 11, 1945 at Glasgow. They farmed and ranched.
Anderson enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching boxing and politics on CNN. He was a rock hound and enjoyed traveling. For 12 years he spent time in Apache Junction, Ariz.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Rita Anderson of Glasgow; sons David and larry Anderson of Nashua; and three grandchildren.
