Ms. Acklin was a native of California. She lived in Atwater 22 years. She was a counselor at Central Valley Regional Center, Merced County, for two years. She was a member of Evergreen Christian Center, Winton. She was a team mom for Atwater Pee-Wee Falcon cheerleaders.
She is survived by her children, Shannon Acklin, Sarah Acklin and Stephen Acklin, all of Atwater; parents, Arthur B. and Glaris D. Harris of Atwater; brother, Arthur B. Harris Jr. of Atwater; sisters, Jeanine Adams and Crystal Harris, both of Atwater; and grandmother, Priscilla B. Washington of Atwater.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Christian Center, Winton. Burial will follow at Winton District Cemetery, Winton. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Wilson Family Chapel.
