LENART, ANDREW Andrew Lenart, age 89 and 35 year resident of Orangewood East, entered into eternal rest on March 24, 2012 at Griffin Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was the beloved husband of the late Pasqualina Stella Casertano Lenart and a lifelong member of the Derby community.

Andrew was born in Derby on November 8, 1922, son of the late John and Mary (Bicek) Lenart. He had the distinction of serving his country with the US Navy during WWII. Andrew was employed as a Shoemaker, Security Guard at Avco/Lycoming, Quality Manager at Teledyne of Ansonia, and Shipping Manager for Cover-It before his retirement in 2005. He was also an avid New York Giants fan.

Andrew is survived by daughters Barbara, Mary Ann, and Deborah Lenart; son Thomas Lenart and wife Ellen; grandchildren Thomas Lenart and Jennifer Rumbin, David Lenart and Cady Gardella, and Brienne Lenart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as his beloved dog, Sarmoti. Andrew was predeceased by siblings Helen Gac, Harriet Pivola, Stanley, Peter, Frank, Walter, and Paul Lenart.

Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 31 at St. Jude Church, 71 Pleasant View Road, Derby. Memorial contributions may be made to the Storm Ambulance Corp. P.O. Box 99, Derby, CT 06418. Condolences may be left to Andrew's family at www.adzimafh.com. Andrew's arrangements were entrusted to the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby.
