Houston -- Alfred J. "Al" Koch, 97, formerly of Atwood, Kan., died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011. He was born Jan. 18, 1914, in Bellefont, Kan. He was a conservationist.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Houston; sons, Richard (Bonnie), of Los Alamos, N.M.; daughters, Mary Ann Zia Koch, of Fort Collins, Colo., and Elizabeth Koch, of Houston; sisters, Cathe Condit, of Banning, Calif., and Ann Davis, of Hot Springs, S.D.; one grandchild; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at Williams Funeral Home, Atwood. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Atwood. Memorials may be given for Masses.
