Kathy Holtzclaw Calfee, 65, of Higbee, died Sunday, October 1, 2017, at University Hospital in Columbia.

Kathy was born July 9, 1952, in Moberly to James Wallace, Sr. and Norma Lou (Fristoe) Holtzclaw.

Prior to retirement she worked as a companion for HomeCare of Mid-Missouri.

Kathy married Morris Calfee on January 15, 2006, and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son Jamie Lee Holtzclaw.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Austin Nelson of Huntsville, Gabriella Snyder of Sweet Springs, MO, Jayden Holtzclaw of Moberly; brothers and sisters, James Wallace Holtzclaw, Jr. and wife Cindy of Higbee, Richard “Dickie” Holtzclaw of Moberly, Lou Ann Ware and husband Joe of Higbee, Henry M. Holtzclaw and wife Linda of Sedalia, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kathy loved to play cards and beingaround her grandchildren.

Services honoring and celebrating Kathy’s life were held at Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers and burial followed in Higbee City Cemetery.
