Nathalyn Berg, age 82, of Chilton, entered eternal life on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. She was born on October 3, 1935 in the Town of Rockland, daughter of the late Elroy and Dorothy (Klann) Schaefer. Nathalyn was a graduate of Valders High School, class of 1953. She married Stanley Berg on December 28, 1955 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins, where she and Stanley were lifelong members. She enjoyed baking, trying new recipes, cooking and preparing fruit from their apple orchard. She also liked to play 500 rummy, solitaire, doing word searches and reading, but most of all, she loved her children and their families. Nathalyn is survived by her children, James Berg of Chilton, Greg (Dolores) Berg of Reedsville, David (Susan) Berg of New Holstein, Stacy Berg of Valders and special friend Steven Morgan, her grandchildren, Mitchell (Emily) Berg, Erik Berg, Rachel Berg, Corey Berg, Misty (James) Godersky, and Alexander Matzen. She was blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Lilianna, Gavin and Aria Berg and Khloe Godersky. She is also survived by a brother, Jerome (Nancy) Schaefer, a sister Diane Rabe and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Nathalyn was preceded in death by her husband Stanley in March of 2007 and a brother-in-law Dennis Rabe. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins. The Rev. Robert Weiss will officiate. Entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum. Visitation will take place at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
