Marshall Loses Another Pioneer

MRS. CATHERINE HUTCHINS, RESIDENT HERE OVER 83 YEARS, DIED FRIDAY EVENING

---Mrs. Catherine E. Hutchins, who had been in failing health for the past two years and confined to the bed for the past eight weeks, died at the home, 215 west Hanover street, Friday at 6:36 p.m. of old age.
---Mrs. Hutchins was one of the pioneers of Marshall. She was born in New York city and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Boehm, who were pioneer residents of Marshall and near the century mark when they passed away. She was a year and a half old when her parents came to Marshall.
---Miss Catherine Boehm married George Hutchins in this city in 1856, the husband dying in 1885. She is survived by one daughter Miss Mary Hutchins, who lived with her and one son, Frank Hutchins of this city, besides four grandchildren, Misses Madaline, Helen, Beatrice and Joseph Hutchins of this city. She is also survived by two brothers. Frank P. Boehm of Gary, Ind., who is here and Charles Boehm of Los Angeles, Calif., also by one nephew, Joseph Boehm of Atlanta, Mich.
---Mrs. Hutchins was a devoted member of St. Mary's parish and for many years a member of the Altar society. The funeral will be held from St. Mary's church Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock.
