Virden, Feb. 5. - Jacob Nickel, 67, of Virden, was pronounced dead upon arrival at St. John's hospital about 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 1951, after he collapsed in the 700 block on E. Adams St. in Springfield.

Mr. Nickel, road commissioner for Virden township, is survived by his wife, Anna F.; three daughters, Mrs. Harry Smith, Mrs. Paul Bettis, Mrs. Dale Kime, all of Virden; four sons, Gene, of Camarilla, Calif.; George W., of Virden; William J., of Divernon; and Fred D., of Waggoner; and 19 grandchildren.

Funeral services were at the Virden Christian church.

Burial was in Virden cemetery.
