Services for Ben Gary Caldwell, 89, of Durant were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with burial in County LIne Cemetery at West.
Caldwell, a native of Carroll County, died Nov. 23, 2000 at University Hospital in Lexington. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Wilson (Pet) Caldwell of Carthage, Bill Caldwell of West and Edgar Caldwell of Durant; two daughters, Marguerite Lemmon of Las Vegas, Vev., and Pat Myers of West, a sister Gladis Maddox of Taylorsville; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eddie Pearl Caldwell.
The Rev. Willie Bishop officiated.
Pallbearers were David Montgomery, James McBride, Dewayne Caldwell, James Cummins, Bryan Dendy, Stephen Green, David Green and Alvin Green.
