Robert Vernon Beilfuss, age 79 of Bonduel, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 in Appleton. Born on June 23, 1933 in Shawano County, he was the son of the late Seny and Minnie (Weier) Beilfuss. Robert lived most of his life in the Bonduel area and attended Bonduel schools. On April 21, 1953 he enlisted with the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Korean War. After his discharge from service, Bob was in a severe automobile accident but was able to overcome his injuries. On June 22, 1963 he was united in marriage to Violet Boettcher in Bonduel. Throughout his life, Bob worked at various jobs including Pierce Manufacturing, Labutzke Motors, and Vlasics. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel and the Bonduel American Legion Post #217. Bob enjoyed marching with the legion in the Bonduel parades no matter how hot it was. His greatest enjoyment in life came from time spent with his grandchildren. Bob always had a joke to tell and his wonderful sense of humor will be sadly missed.

Bob is survived by: his wife of 49 years, Violet; a daughter, Kathy (Keith) Wilcox of Pulaski; Brian (Carrie) Beilfuss of Bonduel; 5 grandchildren, Kendall and Kallie Wilcox, and Noah, Adam and Carter Beilfuss; a brother, Wallace (Gordis) Beilfuss of Lakewood; 2 sisters, Marge Peterson of Shawano, June Raether of Seymour; 2 sisters-in-law, Lorraine Meyer, Joyce Beilfuss; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Gerald Beilfuss; a sister, Louella Radloff; and 5 brothers-in-law, Ralph Meyer, Vernal Rosenow, Ward Peterson, Bert Raether and Vic Radloff.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm and at the church on Thursday from 12:00noon until the time of the service.
