by Charles Brashear
b. Queen Ann, Talbot County, Maryland
m. Samuel Brashear 1694 in Calvert County, Maryland
d. Prince Georges County, Maryland
Wife of Samuel Brashear, Sr; she and her sister, Mary, were the d/o William Jones and Dorothy Cager, widow of Mr. Munroe.
Samuel's older brother, Benjamin, married (1689) Mary Jones; the two sets of children were "double cousins", that is, their fathers were brothers, which made them cousins and their mothers were sisters, which made them cousins a second time.
William Jones sold or gave a plot of land called "Cuckhold's Delight" to Benjamin and Samuel. The brothers lived the rest of their lives on this plot, and their (half?) brother, Robert b. 30 Mar 1686, his mother - Alice Jackson Sprigg, lived at least part of the time on a plot adjoining.
The births of the children of Samuel Brashear and Ann Jones are registered at St. Barnabas Protestant Episcopal Church in Queen Anne's Parish, Prince George's County, Maryland.
