Marie Norman Heine went home to be with her Lord and Savior and to unite with her loved ones on Thursday, October 19, 2017, born June 5, 1928 in Forreston, Texas to parents, Robert Lee and Etta Mack Jacobs Norman. She was a 1945 graduate of Forreston High School. She married Billy Lee Heine on December 14, 1947. Mrs. Heine was a long time member of Ferris Heights United Methodist Church, where she taught in the children’s department and she was a member of the board for many years and long time member of the Fellowship Class.

She was employed for 32 years at the Waxahachie Bank & Trust retiring as Assistant Vice President. She was a 50 year member of Beta Nu Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, attaining the status of Life Membership. She enjoyed musicals, crossword puzzles, writing and preforming comedy skits for her Sunday school class and her sorority. Past club associations include the Business Women’s Luncheon Club, Gingerbread Homemakers, and she served as an officer in the City Federation of Women’s Club. She was honored as outstanding clubwomen by the Gingerbread Homemakers and Beta Nu Master.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, son in-law Bryan Cooke, sisters and brothers-in-law, Tom and Patsy Winters and their son Edwin Winters, J.C. and Betty Lavender and their daughter, Carolyn Lavender, her brother James Norman and her brother-in-law Rodney Pettit.

She is survived by her loving family, her daughter Brenda Cooke, grandchildren, Joseph and Kristy Stewart, Jacob and Jeanine Stewart, and Rachel Stewart. Great grandchildren are Joshua Stewart, Hayden Stewart, Jasmine Stewart, Pete Duran, Paul Duran, John Duran and Layla Duran. She is survived by her sister Linda Pettit of Cleburne, Texas and sister-in-law, Linda Norman of Midlothian, Texas, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. The Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with interment following at Hillcrest Burial Park in Waxahachie.
