Beatrice was born on the 19th September 1900 to Edward & Mary Frances Cartwright (nee Allcock) of King Street Barnsley. She was Baptised at St. Mary's Church on the 10th October 1900.

Beatrice was one of 16 children who were accidentally killed during the Barnsley Public Hall stampede on Saturday 11th January 1908. She was only 7 years old at the time of her death.
