Actress. She will be remembered for playing 'Helga Brandt' in the 'James Bond' film "You Only Live Twice" (1967). Born Katherose Derr, she studied Ballet prior to gravitating towards movies. Initially an extra, she caught the attention of director Harald Reinl who cast her in his picture "Rosen-Resli" (1954). At the age of sixteen, she married Reinl who was thirty years her senior. During the 1960s, she established herself as an international star beginning with the Christopher Lee picture "The Face of Fu Manchu" (1965). She would co-star with Lee in the film "The Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism" (1967), which starred Lex Barker, directed by Reinl. In 1969, she appeared in the Alfred Hitchcock film "Topaz." Additionally, she appeared in the American TV programs "It Takes a Thief," "The F.B.I." and "Ironside."
