In 1905 the family moved to Valparaiso, Indiana and joined business with Leo Lilienthal (1869-1951) and operated a department store on the Valparaiso town square. The business eventually became the Szold's department store after 1929. As you can see in the gravestone photo Amailia is next to a nephew Harold Rosenak, and behind is Johanna Lilienthal a mother-in-law to her children.
